The Unplugged kayak
The Unplugged kayak is perfectly suited to the new and medium skilled paddler. Unplugged is created with the desire to offer you a rock solid and beautiful sea kayak with the abilities for any paddler to hone their skill. In other words Unplugged is made for great experiences and to give you the very best offset for learning strokes and techniques.
The modern design symmetry and lean forship gives you a kayak with great tracking that goes extremely well for a kayak with a skeg. The low rear deck minimizes wind sensitivity and makes it easier to roll and reenter the kayak when doing a self rescue.
The hull shape of the Unplugged is shallow V which gives great stability. At the same time the shallow V shape allows for the keel line to run throughout the length of the kayak and that ensures speed without compromising maneuverability.
Comfort and control are the names of the game
An ergonomically designed seat and padded seat rest ensures a very comfortable experience in the cockpit of the Unplugged kayak. It is spacious and at the same time the integrated thigh braces give you great contact with the boat. The cockpit is a medium sized keyhole-design and that ensures optimal paddling technique and makes getting in and out very easy. The coaming comes with an extra deep groove to ease the fitting of your spray skirt.
Other than the professional layout of lines and bungees we also mounted a paddle roll on the front deck line to make it easy to secure that paddle when taking a break or dealing with a rescue. Besides that the Unplugged has bulkheads that are thoroughly grouted from both sides and the round hatches have a nice snug fit to keep your stowed gear dry when paddling. All fittings are countersunk to minimize the risk of injuring your hands and fingers. Furthermore the skeg control is placed at the hip making it easy to reach and ensures that it will not be a bother for those with long legs.
Create your own stunning appearance on water
For only € 65 extra you can choose between our six unique colors and configure hull, lines, hatches and bungee colors. Did anyone say that appearance did not matter? Of course it matters especially since all the basics of the kayaks are perfect.
If you need an extra front deck “glove compartment” you can buy a 3.5 liter Day Box from Kajak Sport as an add-on. It is also possible to add a rescue system with YKK buckles to keep your paddle fixed when doing a self rescue. If needed we can mount a stainless steel lock brace to keep your new kayak less interesting to potential thieves. And finally we can also mount a rudder with inside cabling if that suits your needs.
Size guide
Unplugged is available in two sizes: Regular and Large. Your height, weight and especially the girth around your thighs and hip are defining whether you’ll fit a regular og a large.
Regular: 160-185 cm up to app. 90 kg.
Large: 170-210 cm from 90 kg and up.
