Inspection upon Delivery:Â Upon receiving the delivered kayak(s) at the designated international harbor, you are advised to thoroughly inspect the received kayak(s) for any signs of damage, discrepancies, or issues.
Immediate Reporting: In the event of any visible damage or discrepancies, you must notify DesignKayaks within 48 hours of delivery. Failure to report damages within this timeframe may affect the ability to file a claim for compensation.
Photographic Evidence: You should take clear photographs of the damaged goods, including any external packaging that exhibits signs of damage. These photographs will be necessary to support any claims for compensation or insurance coverage.
Written Description: Along with the photographs, a written description of the damage, including the extent of the damage and the condition of the packaging, should be provided to DesignKayaks. This written description will assist in assessing the nature and scope of the damage.
Retention of Packaging: You should retain all original packaging materials, including boxes, bubble wrap, and packing materials, until further instructions are provided by DesignKayaks. These materials may be required for inspection or investigation purposes.
Claims Process: DesignKayaks will initiate a claims process upon receiving the required photographic evidence and written description of the damage. You may be required to provide additional information to facilitate the claim.
Compensation and Resolution: Depending on the nature and extent of the damage, DesignKayaks will determine an appropriate course of action. This may include arranging for replacement parts, issuing partial refunds, or other suitable resolutions.
Timely Response: DesignKayaks will make every effort to respond to and resolve damage claims promptly and efficiently. The consignee is expected to cooperate and provide any necessary information to facilitate the claims process.
Insurance Coverage: If the shipment was insured, the claims process will be subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy. The consignee is responsible for familiarizing themselves with these terms and following the necessary procedures.
Exclusions: DesignKayaks shall not be held responsible for damages arising from mishandling or neglect of the goods by the consignee after delivery, or for damages resulting from customs clearance or local transportation beyond the international harbor.
Documentation: Any communications regarding damaged goods, including photographs, written descriptions, and correspondence with DesignKayaks, should be documented and retained by the consignee for future reference.
